Our love your neighbour projects are based on biblical principles. Think, for example, of the story of the master who went away on a journey. Before he left, he gave each of his servants talents. He gave more to some than to others. The servants used their talents in different ways. On his return, the master was pleased with the servants who had multiplied their talents, and gave them responsibility over more. But he was disappointed when he saw that some servants had done nothing with the talents he had given them (Matthew 25: 14-30).
Each ‘bouw’ (so groups 1 and 2 together, groups 3 and 4 together, groups 5 and 6 together and groups 7 and 8 together) supports a child in another country financially via Compassion. And each year we participate in the shoebox project organized by Actie4Kids.
